VisionChina Media appoints chief development officer

BEIJING (Thomson Financial) - Nasdaq-listed VisionChina Media Inc, one of China's largest mass transportation mobile television advertising networks, said Friday it has promoted Haijun Liu to chief development officer.

""We are very pleased to have Liu move into this key role on our management team,"" said Limin Li, VisionChina Media's chairman and chief executive officer.

Liu's appointment is effective immediately, the company said.

Prior to joining VisionChina, Liu was national sales manager of Huali Group, a joint venture, where he led the successful development of the national market for home appliance brands including Sony and Aiwa.

VisionChina operates an out-of-home advertising network on mass transportation systems, including buses and subways that reach approximately 26 million viewers each day in China, according to CTR Market Research.

As of September 30, 2007, VisionChina's advertising network included over 33,000 mobile digital displays on mass transportation systems in 14 of China's most affluent cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
