Hong Kong's I-Cable unit appointed official broadcaster of 2010 FIFA World Cup

HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Hong Kong Cable Television Ltd (Hong Kong Cable),
unit of I-Cable Communications Ltd, said it has been appointed by FIFA, the
world governing body of football, as the official broadcaster of the 2010
FIFA World Cup.
It is the third time in a row that the station has clinched exclusive
broadcasting rights for the World Cup after 2002 and 2006, the company said
in a statement.
Hong Kong Cable will carry all 64 final matches between June 11 and July
11 in 2010 live from venues in nine South African cities, namely Cape Town,
Durban, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth,
Pretoria and Rustenburg, it said.
As of 11.07 am, I-Cable was up 0.04 hkd or 2.25 pct at 1.82.
