HK-listed Meadville Hldgs in 64.97 mln eur assets deals with Aspocomp Group

HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Meadville Holdings Ltd said it has entered into
three separate agreements for the acquisition of assets worth a combined 64.
97 mln eur from units of Aspocomp Group Oyj, a company that is listed on
Finland's stock exchange.
In the first transaction, Meadville Holdings said that it entered into an
agreement to acquire 80 pct of Aspocomp Asia Ltd for 61.53 mln eur.
Meanwhile, in the second deal, the group agreed to acquire a 10 pct
interest in Aspocomp Oulu Oy for 1.83 mln eur.
Finally, in the third transaction, Meadville Holdings said it has agreed
to purchase production equipment from Aspocomp Oy for 1.61 mln eur.
Meadville said the proposed acquisitions are expected to enable the group
to form a strategic alliance with Aspocomp Group and gain immediate access to
its sales network in northern Europe, particularly top-tier customers in the
region's telecommunication industry.
The group is currently engaged in the business of manufacturing and
distribution of various printed circuit boards.
