Philippines' San Miguel to scrap plan to build brewery in Malaysia - report

KUALA LUMPUR (XFN-ASIA) - San Miguel Corp, South-East Asia's largest food
and drinks group, might cancel its proposal to build and operate a brewey in
Johor, afternoon paper The Malay Mail reported, citing unnamed sources.
""The company might cancel the proposal because they are worried about the
impact of the rise in the excise duties on alcohol announced in the recent
national budget,"" the source said.
