Wavecom to supply PDA Development Lab to GSL for Palm-powered smartphone

PARIS (AFX) - Wavecom SA said it has been selected by Group Sense PDA Ltd
(GSPDA), the third largest seller of handheld computers in Asia to supply its
PDA Development Lab solutions for use in new models of GSPDA's successful
Palm powered smartphone.
GSPDA is a subsidiary of Hong-Kong listed Group Sense (International) Ltd.
No financial details were given.
Following the launch in September 2003 of the world's smallest Palm
powered smartphone, Xplore G18, GSL has selected Wavecom as its wireless
technology provider to expand its range of Palm powered smartphones, the
French handset components maker said.
GSL has selected Wavecom's WISMO Quik technology for its new smartphone
Xplore G88, it said.
Xplore G88 is a fully-featured smartphone that integrates traditional
Palm OS PIM functionality and telephony features in a compact form, Wavecom
said.
