HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Tai Ping Carpets International Ltd was higher in the afternoon after the company posted a 78.47 pct rise in net profit to 9.78 mln hkd for the first half to June.

Tai Ping Carpets rose 0.07 or 5.93 pct to 1.25 on volume of 35,000 shares.
