STOCK ALERT - HK's Pacific Plywood lower after H1 loss

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Pacific Plywood Holdings Ltd (767.HK) was lower in
the afternoon after it reported a net loss of 2.97 mln usd for the first half
to June compared with a loss of 6.50 mln usd a year earlier, dealers said.
Pacific Plywood was down 0.002 hkd or 4.10 pct at 0.023 on volume of 3.10
mln shares.
""Investors are disappointed with the company's result. Although the
company was able to narrow its losses, it is still wallowing in the red and
that to them is not a positive sign at all,"" a local dealer said.
