HK's IMI Global seals computer graphic deal with Spielberg's DreamWorks
 


HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - IMI Global Holdings Ltd (585.HK) said its wholly owned subsidiary Imagi IP Holdings Ltd has entered into an exclusive agreement to perform computer graphic animation services for DreamWorks Television Animation LLC.

Under the agreement, Imagi will provide ""modeling, character animation, lighting, effects, compositing and rendering"" services for a computer graphic animation television series titled ""Father of the Pride"" scheduled for broadcasting during the prime time zone on the NBC television network in the US in fall 2004.

The series comprises an initial run of 13 television episodes and DreamWorks has an option to engage Imagi for further production of additional episodes and other optional projects.

DreamWorks was formed in Oct 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen who are not connected persons of IMI Global.

IMI did not disclose the value of the agreement.
