abc Multiacive Q3 loss narrows with lower opg expenses/amortisation

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - abc Multiactive Ltd (8131.HK) third quarter net
loss narrowed to 5.881 mln kd from the restated 12.993 mln
quarter-on-quarter, led by cuts in operating expenditure and lower
amortisation.
Sales dipped by 14 pct to 6.052 mln hkd from 7.072 mln due to the weak
computer hardware sales.
The company said operating expenditure fell by 41 pct to 8.6 mln hkd and
has transferred its Sydney and Hong operations to smaller locations to
improve its cost structure.
abc Multiactive wrote off 1.411 mln hkd in fixed assets due to the office
transfers while amortisation stood at 1.971 mln, down 55 pct.
Operating loss stood at at 5.666 mln hkd from a loss of 12.993 mln.
Basic loss per share stood at 0.37 hkd against a loss of 0.85.
No interim dividends were declared.
