STOCK ALERT - Wai Kee higher after strong H1 earnings

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Wai Kee Holdings (610.HK) was higher after
releasing strong first half earnings, dealers said.
For the six months to September, the company recorded a net profit of 63.
383 mln hkd from 38.863 mln a year earlier, reflecting lower administrative
costs and improved contributions from associates.
At 11.00 am, Wai Kee was up 0.03 hkd or 4.61 pct at 0.68.
""It's a knee-jerk reaction to its strong first half results ... however,
trading in Wai Kee can be quite volatile,"" a dealer from a local brokerage
said.
