STOCK ALERT - SC Industrial lower after H1 net loss; no interim div

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - SC Industrial Development Co Ltd (554.HK) was
lower against a slightly firmer broader market after reporting a first half
to September net loss of 5.9 mln hkd, against a year-earlier profit of 79.264
mln, dealers said.
SC Industrial was down 0.03 hkd at of 5.08 pct at 0.56 on 1.77 mln
shares.
Dealers also noted the company omitted an interim dividend payment after
paying out 6 cents a share last year.
The company also reported an operating loss of 7.365 mln, against a
profit of 85.096 mln previously. The new operating loss figure includes a net
loss on disposal of subsidiaries amounting to 18.400 mln and bad debts
write-off amounting to 8.136 mln.
