| 0806 [Dow Jones] HK ADRs mixed vs local close, as divergent moves on Wall Street provide no clear direction for stocks. HSBC (0005.HK) down 0.6% at equivalent of HK$58.16, but China Mobile (0941.HK) +1.0% at HK$69.23; oil stocks up, with Cnooc (0883.HK) +0.8% at HK$6.67, Sinopec (0386.HK) +1.2% at HK$4.16, PetroChina (0857.HK) +0.4% at HK$5.72. China Unicom (0762.HK) +0.1% at HK$7.02, Chalco (2600.HK) down 0.6% at HK$3.38 and China Life (2628.HK) +0.6% at HK$20.53. Tracking these stocks would contribute to about 23-point gain to HSI.
