SHANGHAI (Dow Jones)-- Chinese refiners will export at least 320,000 metric tons of gasoline and diesel in January amid high domestic fuel stocks that are around one-third higher than 2008's monthly average, 21 Century Herald reported Monday. China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP), or Sinopec, will export 150,000 tons of diesel this month and PetroChina Co. (PTR) will export at least 50,000 tons of diesel, the newspaper said, citing unnamed officials with the companies.
China's refineries haven't slashed utilization rates yet with demand for diesel at seasonal lows, resulting in high fuel stocks, the newspaper said, citing the Sinopec official.
