Hong Kong-listed Towngas China says Sichuan operations unaffected by quake

HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Towngas China Co Ltd, previously know as Panva Gas
Holdings, said its gas pipeline networks in earthquake-stricken Sichuan province
suffered no major damages.
"However, some earthquake-related gas leakages were found in some of the cities
we operate, but these have been put under control," it said.
For safety reasons, some of its operating units there had temporarily suspended
gas supply on worries of possible aftershocks but gas supply is now being
resumed gradually, the company said.
"We do not expect any substantial impact on the company's financial position,"
it said.
Shares of Towngas China traded down 0.03 hkd or 0.86 pct to close the morning
session at 3.46.
