AASTOCKS Instant Investment Assistant (AIIA) provides various stock search abilities right on the browser toolbar and brings you the stock information and analysis of any highlighted stock symbol on any web page.

AIIA Requirements:
Windows 95, 98 or NT.
Internet Explorer Version 5.0 or higher

only 2 seconds through 1.5M broadband (estimated).
 
How to install:
  1. By clicking 'Yes' on a security warning dialog box, the software will be installed automatically.
  2. To take effect of AIIA, close and reopen IE browser.
  3. After that, there will be an 'A' button on the user's IE toolbar. Or you can click'>>' (i.e. other buttons) at the end of the tool bar and find the 'A' button to show or hide the AIIA on your browser.

Its main functionality covers:

Web Installation
The user download AASTOCKS Instant Investment Assistant from AASTOCKS web site. By click Yes on a security warning dialog box, the Assistant will be installed automatically.

Right Mouse Click
For any displayed content on any web page inside an IE window, the user can highlight a stock symbol and then right-click the mouse to get a drop down menu, which has the links to AASTOCKS home page, and seven stock search options. These options will open a new IE window and display the results about that stock symbol.

"A" Button (IE5 and above) return to map
After installation, there will be an "A" button on the user's IE toolbar. Click on the "A" button will hide/show the "AIIA" toolbar. IE 4 users have to use the "Uninstall " option to hide the toolbar.

After the installation, there will be a toolbar on the user's IE window.

First button on the far left:
It is a link to AASTOCKS.com home page.return to map

Second button:return to map
It is an 'Edit Options' button. Under this button, there is a drop down menu, which the user can choose  'Register', 'Logon', 'Logoff', 'Help', and 'Uninstall'. The first four options bring the user to the relevant web pages on AASTOCKS web site. The 'Uninstall' option will uninstall AIIA from the user's machine.

Third part of the toolbar:return to map
It is a "search" area. In this area, firstly, there is a switch button that the user can switch between China, Hong Kong and United States. Sticking to one of these regions means that the user is going to search for the stock information in that particular stock market. 

The text box in this "search" area is used to type in any stock symbol for which the users want to do research. return to map

For searching Hong Kong stock information, AIIA will automatically convert the stock symbol input to a valid one, if it is less than 4 digits. 

Secondly, there is a 'search options' button. Under this button, there are seven search options (including 'Quote', 'Chart', 'News', 'Company Info', 'Live Comment', '5-day Forecast' and '6-month Target') to research a certain stock. If the user hits 'Enter' key after type in the symbol, AIIA will bring up the quote as the default choice. return to map

Forth part of the toolbar: return to map
It is a streaming text area displaying personalized news and stock quotes according to the user's portfolio (Only indices are displaying for non-registered and Basic members.). There is a switch button that the user can switch the display from stock quotes to news and vice verse.

Please note that the switch between China, Hong Kong and United States stock information is only applicable to the seven search options of 'Stock Analysis' and 'Right Mouse Click'.

Symbol Picking
No matter what web page the user is viewing, he or she can always highlight a symbol displayed on the web pages and go to the toolbar's "Search options" button and do a search from there. The results will be displayed in the current window.

Remarks:
When the users logon, logoff and get "Help", they are prompted to one of the AASTOCKS.com web sites from which AIIA is downloaded.

For example, If you have downloaded AIIA in Hong Kong station of AASTOCKS.com, you will proceed to logon at the Hong Kong station when you click 'Logon" in the pull down menu of "Edit Options".

The financial news or data at the streaming text area is displayed according to the configurations and the user's portfolio filed in the station of AASTOCKS.com web site where AIIA is downloaded.
