| 1350 [Dow Jones] HK morning short-selling volume jumps 75.3% to HK$2.132 billion, 4.9% of market total vs 3.2% at Monday's half-day, suggesting bears stepping up bets, but amount still not overwhelming. Two of top 5 shorted stocks are commodity plays amid drop in underlying metal prices; Jiangxi Copper (0358.HK) had HK$172.12 million, Chalco (2600.HK) HK$123.60 million. In between, China Construction Bank (0939.HK) with HK$129.11 million. Cheung Kong (0001.HK), China Cosco (1919.HK) round out top 5, with HK$111.11 million, HK$93.67 million respectively.(RLI)
